Throughout the world, gender-based violence is a tragic reality. Such violence can increase during public health crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Thursdays in Black campaign grew from the stories of rape as a weapon of war, gender injustice, abuse, violence, and other tragedies. But what also became visible was the resilience and personal efforts of so many to resist such violations.
